ParticipantFCC III was very sparsely attended today. I did get to see FFX_Hinterlands, but that was it. Eitherway, it was a beautiful morning to enjoy a good cup o’ coffee outside.

ParticipantI’m in it again this year. There is one set of dirt switch backs that I havent made it up yet, other than that a compact with a 27 in the rear, you should be fine. I’ve been using my wife’s commuting tires (puncture resistant), the last couple of years.

ParticipantWasnt there a successful one that ACC organized at “Chasin’ Tails” right off the WOD in FC/Arl?

ParticipantFunny; directly behind where the old one was.
I really kind of like the flexible ones. They help passing bike and foot traffic at the light judge the actual amount of space they have to deal with.

ParticipantI’m hoping to be able to stick around tonight. I’ll probably be tail-gunning, the commuter is *not* a fast bike.

ParticipantI seem to remember that Bikes@Vienna has a vending machine full of bike goodies out in front of it for random after hours emergencies.

ParticipantWell, I’m half way there. I found a Salsa La Cruz on Ebay, and managed to get it for a reasonable price. Should be here hopefully no later than next week. Its Salsas Steel ‘cross bike from a few years back, it even orange (WIN). Once I get it setup with rack fenders etc, I’ll post a couple of photos. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Started off on a morning ride, my first stop was to change out the battery in my GoPro. Damn thing sucks batteries like they’re going out of style.
Was getting close to the turn around point of my trip, so I pulled my phone out Dirt-style, just for some documentation.
And here’s me at the turn around point.
All kidding aside, thanks to everyone who’s provided advice and help and pulls along the way, I couldn’t have done this without you all.

And so for the most important question; How long did it take you??

Well, attendance was a little sparse but GuyContinental and K1SG were (also) there holding it down. In other news it looked like Difficult Run was about to overflow its banks.
I would’ve been there, but I think it would’ve been poor form to ride a nice borrowed steel bike in the rain, when the owner rarely does so.
