    @consularrider, I was at an emergency dentist getting a crown replaced yesterday.  I really hope you don’t need their services.

    2/2 CHORE

    Mowing this hill must be quite a chore with the steep slope and tight paths between those trees.

    @sszibler, bolts are threaded fasteners that require opposing torque on both sides to lock in place, while rivets are smooth fasteners that are forced to expand by the tool that inserts them.  Bolts can be removed and (maybe) reused, rivets need to be drilled out.  When I took mechanics of materials in 2002, I-beams were generally joined using rivets, so I went riding through the new garage in Sprinfield hoping to get a shot of some rivets from the exposed roof supports. Instead, all bolts.  I found what looked like rivets holding up a a sign and shot that instead.

    @karenbikes2gmail-com
    , I was surpised to find that bolts have totally replaced rivets for most construction, but they still RIVET signs into place.

    This is also why we have team captains who can reach out to riders and say, “come on, lets go for a ride” or “hey, there are three kids who are riding more than you.”

    It’s interesting to look at the team by team individual rankings and see how the top teams are generally (somewhat) more evenly distributed.  So, is the solution a better scoring system or more social engagement with our teams to, say, ride to the brewpub near the laggarts’ home?
