BAFS 2025 Opening Happy Hour!

Hello Fellow Saddleros!

We are pleased to announce the opening happy hour is finally happening!  Team members, Friends of BAFS, and those who are still waiting to find out whether they will be assigned to a team are all welcome to attend, meet fellow cyclists, and get a flavor of what this is all about. Meet your teammates, your nemeses, and your pointless prize overlords.

 

Date: Thursday, February 13
Time: Arrive any time after about 5:30 pm. No official starting time. Franklin Hall stays open until midnight, although it becomes 21+ at 8:00 pm.
Location: Franklin Hall, 1348 Florida Ave NW, Washington, DC 20009

How to get there: By bike, duh! (seriously). Franklin Hall is also accessible by metro (U Street or Columbia Heights)

Venue Information: Franklin Hall has both indoor and patio seating.  It serves a variety of food items, along with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.

Parking: There is bike parking in the area as well as in front of the venue. Please bring a lock, and don’t be afraid to lock up to a friend.

Question: Anyone interested in participating in a Gear Sale/Swap at the opening happy hour?

If so, I’d be willing to get there early and set up a place where you can hawk your own goods.

I have used but not abused winter cycling gear that I’ve experimented with over the years that has accumulated until I finally figured out what works best for me. It’s all in fine working order and I’d love to see it go to good use.

Everyone responsible for managing & removing their own stuff and “to leave no trace behind” once HH is over.
