Participant2/8/23 – John Williams Score – my pick: The 1973 Tom Sawyer film.
One of my favorite scenes from the book is iconic fence-painting segment. Tom has a chore to whitewash the fence, but he doesn’t want to do it, so he cons all his friends to do the painting for him, PLUS, gets THEM to give HIM loot for the pleasure of painting the fence.

I was watching the Grammy’s and looked up and it was TOO LATE! DARN! But here is my submission anyway. A view of the moon along Arlington Blvd (from the Arlington Blvd. Bike pat), heading into DC, and the Washington Monument can also be seen.

Participant2-4-23. – Barbie 50th anniversary
Barbie went for a walk at a nearby park and decided to sit in her favorite chair to read a few pages, and take a load off. Although this chair is slightly large for her, she likes to sit up high so she can keep an eye on the happenings in the neighborhood. A few hardy souls stopped by to pay their respects, but then Barbie decided that it was MUCH too cold for her to sit outside (I mean, she IS 50, after all), and opted to head back to her Barbie Dream House and sit next to the fireplace. She DID, however, allow me to snap an image of her throne.

This house is on my normal cycle route. There are at least five different bird feeders hanging from the tree. Plus an ornament.

In Arlington, there are many McMansions, and they take up nearly the entire lot, and virtually no front, side, or back yard. These houses hog the ground, hence, they are groundhogs.

Participant2/1/23 – Texas Day – BIG!!!
This is a climbing jungle gym that represents one of the Three Sisters Radio Towers in Arlington. It is twice as tall as any jungle gym I ever remember playing on, and makes my mother-wince when thinking of my children climbing to the very top of this LARGE and HIGH jungle gym.

Participant1/31/23 – Backwards day
OK, i know you all can’t see this, but my trike is in front of Susan’s Kindness house on S. Fillmore St, just south of 2nd St. S. I ride up the walkway from second street to stop and chat, but I can’t go any further because the telephone pole and guide wire make the sidewalk narrow so I always have to back my trike out back to 2nd street before I can turn around.

It’s amazing what you find if you just happen to look down. I was riding tonight, and had to toss something in the closest trash can, and my bike light caught something on the ground, and lo and behold, a penny and a dime. And the dime has an image of FDR’s profile.
