alright folks – despite a few days of non-cycling, I’m back in the saddle. sorry ’bout the furlough, but life got in the way. we got some miles to put in to retake #3.
Welcome back. We need you to hammer us past the Doozy Dozers, who are ahead of us by 221 points, even though we have ridden 54 miles than they have (but they have more rider days than we do, which explains the difference). Can Harry’s return motivate everyone on our team commit to at least a mile a day for this week?

ParticipantI’m headed to the 4MR – MVT Junction now. ETA 6:40pm. Hope to meet someone who knows the way from there to HH, because I don’t.

ParticipantWeather forecast is terrible for the rest of the week. You should all park the bikes, sleep in, and save it for a big push next week.

ParticipantWOD clear from Mile 8 (Virginia Lane) east to the Custis Trail, except for wooden bridges and 2 snow pack spots at mile 6 (Mason lodge). Ride home westward was crunchy around 6pm but my Strada-K 25×700 tires broke through to pavement no problem.

studs and tire chains. or, if you’re a hero like me, slicks. in all seriousness, my schedule is sure-ing up. I’m pretty much 100% for HH – meeting at the 4MR-MVT intersection @ 1835. I’ll hang around for 10-20 minutes for anyone else that wants to tag along, too.
I will try to meet you @ the the 4MR-MVT intersection @ 1835 for the convoy to the pub.

We used to call it “Attitude Adjustment Hour.”
Can you get that done in only an hour?

Let’s see it: five pages of discussion on where to have the happy hour.
I’m offended by the word “happy”, because that happened once at an inappropriate hour. So can we please use another name for the hour?

Deal! How’s Friday 1/30 work for people?
I can do Friday HH, especially if Meat motor is buying for those who ride tomorrow [emoji4]

back to #4!!!
now, since i didn’t respond to the “apologies in advance” thread – I’ve got a conference tomorrow that won’t allow me to put in any miles. (in my best canuck accent) Surry!
how ’bout this enticement: anyone on our team that rides tomorrow for more than 1 mile (1/27/15) gets a beer on me at whatever/whenever the next team 5 HH ends up being!
Challenge accepted as I can get out tomorrow on my hybrid clunker which handles the snow well cuz it weighs a ton.

I’m good for at least 15 miles today. I challenge everyone on our team to beat me on points today.
I was planning a big ride today anyway before I saw this, but challenge met! Only problem is that I took Steve O and HF along with me, and they are on other BASF2015 teams with whom we are neck-to-neck, so at best, my effort today only kept us even. Next time someone else from our team needs to join me on one of epic rides that I lead so that we can double up on the points[emoji4].
