I think I maybe caught some of the crew zipping by during my run on the W&OD between Sycamore and Patrick Henry. I was in a green MCM long sleeve. Nice job on the hundo!

Mad Fox is literally stumbling distance from my house, but Caboose isn’t really out of the way. I may have to crash this thing! Don’t worry, I’m a man without a team, so no points are at stake here.

Fun fact: In the 8th grade our humor/creative writing class had to watch Kentucky Fried Movie as part of the lesson on parody. Obviously certain bits had to be skipped. But our teacher was clumsy with the remote and managed to fast forward directly into Catholic High School Girls in Trouble.

So I just looked up Wednesday Night Spins and that seems pretty rad. I’ll have to make it the next one and bring my camera.

I sent an email highlighting all of the tax money Arlington would generate if I could more easily get to Westover Market’s Wall of Beer.

Would be glad to help you help them generate said tax revenue in their beer garden. 🍺

I’ve sometimes used my long sleeve jersey or one of my bike jackets on long runs just for the pocket layout.

*eyes shiftily dart left and right*

Sometimes I… wear my running gear instead of cycling garb when biking casually.

This sounds like a hoot n’ a holler, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make it. March birthdays have all converged on this weekend. Perhaps I can rendezvous at a later stop.

Lovely bike! How are you liking that Thomson setback seatpost? I’ve got my eye on the same one (well, one rung down).

Is that their bathroom or where Coors brews Keystone Light?

Amazon offers hosting services that Strava and other companies rely upon. I use a Garmin to record my rides and Garmin Connect seems to be affected as well.

I won’t self-incriminate on whether I’m a nutter but I used to frequently commute 10-13 miles on a cheap flat-bar fitness bike and it was perfectly comfortable.

Steeling someone’s horse is NOT cool. I don’t know what it is about Van Ness either, but I had a laptop stolen from a 4th floor client’s small conference room in a matter of seconds. Her purse was stolen too. Bike security in general has me concerned as I don’t have one regular office I can use. Has anyone had any experiences with the bike lockers at some of the Metro stations?

I joined the Bikenetic C&O ride on Sunday and it was lovely. Until we rode back up 41st St N. Once I hit the switchbacks at the top I forgot to downshift. Combined with my poor slow-speed handling skills (something I really should practice, honestly) I came to a near stop and toppled in slow motion, drive-side down (always drive-side down!). I at least rolled my body as I went, so it was physically painless, but there were witnesses. 😮
