ParticipantI’m not 100% sure, but it’s probably because of something you did.

ParticipantSeeing as he’s not on the roster, Team 19 would like to draft Chairman Meow.

Pretty convenient that you used a video with the head cropped out. That’s clearly me.

I awarded the points for this prematurely because it does not show you riding for two pedal strokes after completion. I forgot that part of this trick is to get back on your pedals, which isn’t easy. That said, I’ll let you keep it since it was my bad missing it. Everyone else needs those 2 pedal strokes after this trick!
I think the best course of action is simply that everyone in BAFS2019 gets a free 2 points.

Have you checked your TCP/IP settings? Have you tried turning your phone off and on?

I’d like to put out a call for someone to help me learn some of these, and then we can film each other’s stunts. PM me or comment here if you’re interested (will buy beer in exchange for teaching).
In a similar vein I’d like to put out a call for folks with mad video compositing and FX skills.

ParticipantNext time I’ll dress more appropriately, but I had fun. Big thanks to BPAC, Alexandria Spokeswomen, Phoenix Bikes, and also Komorebi for the route. And a special shout out to Hipster Santa and his single-speed sleigh. He rocked beards before they were cool, maaan.

ParticipantFalls Church is only going to get denser with looming projects on the horizon. As someone who uses this section of the WOD on wheels and on foot quite a bit, I welcome these improvements. I’d love to see improvements elsewhere too, but I’ll take what I can get. Except COPS: WOD Edition.

ParticipantI just bought a bike with gears so I guess I’m not cool enough to post here. [emoji24]

ParticipantI’m thinking of swinging by unless y’all talk me out of it.

ParticipantI’m just getting caught up in this thread and here are a few thoughts… I think Streetsmarts is correct in thinking that while her Lyra disc brakes are entry level, they can be safe and functional with routine adjustment and maintenance. That said, a brake upgrade can be pretty meaningful, so the used BB7s hozn mentioned may not be a bad idea.
For what it’s worth, my $2699 MSRP Renegade Expert also needed some warranty replacements and upgrades from some mediocre OEM spec components. Even expensive bikes are specced to hit key price points, so I don’t see this sort of thing changing, unfortunately.
