So, who’s been playing in the rocks?
I think I saw this today, but the 4 top stones were gone. It is on the 4MR trail under Quincy.

I believe this is on the Four Mile Run trail near/under 395. It has been enjoyable to see many fine creations.

By the Camden (Potomac and S Glebe?)?
Great observation. The sculpture is “Wonder Wander” by Larry Kirkland.

ParticipantI saw this today for the first time, even though I have ridden by it many times.

Not much more to say on the Five Boro Bike Tour, but I do think that in general it was fun. I finally finished my video of the ride, so enjoy:
Thanks for the video, it looked like a good ride. I did not see any crowded spots while you were riding. The last time we did the ride we were stopped on the Gowanus Expressway for 1.5 hours, not moving, in a massive crowd of unhappy riders.
What time did you start and how long did it take?bikesnick

Can anyone explain the arrows along the W&OD in Vienna? They point to a tall vertical pipe with a yellow top.
I spoke with a utility worker this morning. The arrows indeed point to the pipes, which are marker posts, not vents. The posts mark the location of manhole covers to access under ground electrical equipment. The markers are necessary to find the covers in the vegetation.

Wow! I presume with the top down and all the doors closed.
No. Doors closed, hard top, front wheel off, front passenger seat pushed forward.
(A long time ago I *did* put my road bike in a two seater convertible, wheels on, and top down.)bikesnick

Can I fit a bike in a Hyundai Accent rental car?
I put my road bike in my Mini Cooper often.

(might be the law, I’m not sure).
from WABA’s Pocket Bike Law Guide for DC:
From section 1204.1: “Each bicycle shall be equipped with a brake which enables the operator to cause the braked wheels to skid on dry, level, clean pavement; provided, that a fixed gear bicycle is not required to have a separate brake, but an operator of a fixed gear bicycle shall be able to stop the bicycle using the pedals.”And, I believe a brake *is* required in Maryland and Virginia.

I don’t think anyone ever got this one. I believe this is the tunnel under Arlington Blvd. near George Mason Drive and the Foreign Service Institute
Correct! Thanks for playing.

I took Veterans’ Day off from work and decided to follow as much of the DC diamond as I could in a clockwise direction, stopping by many of the still-intact boundary stones on the way.
Wow, what a great ride. It reminds me of Washcycle’s WAGBRAD (“Washcycle’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Around DC … The ride is meant to mimic RAGBRAI, but instead of going across DC (a sprint really) it goes around – as much as possible – the perimeter of DC.”).
