Just so happens that there was an article about it today. It’s a ratzilla!

It looks to me like a godzilla or godzilla rat which would be a giant reptile. Congress better watch out!

ParticipantNot that useful unless you are on the west side of Rockville but there is a wormhole to cut across from Wootton Parkway from Scott’s Road to Shady Grove Road by the Traville Gateway shopping plaza. Scotts’s Road eventually turns into Bald Cypress Dr which dead ends at a community center but if you take the trail (in red) you can cut across to Loblolly Terrace. Also spotted another trail in the woods that I didn’t try (in yellow) but that seems to lead directly to Traville Gateway Dr for an even faster wormhole to Giant!

ParticipantDiscovered that the alley next to Philz coffee in Adams Morgan also has some other murals, a couple of which are on garage doors. Here is one of “End Taxation without Representation.” Their tags are about to expire…

ParticipantChased down an Argo AI car today. Argo AI is an autonomous driving car company based in Pittsburgh. According to Wikipedia, the major investors are Ford and Volkswagen and DC is one of the test sites. All those stop signs and lights in DC are probably good for testing!

ParticipantThe alley art behind the Philips Gallery. This was one of the stops from Handlebar DC’s alley tour a little while back.

Passed by the Apple store in Georgetown. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, except maybe this type of apple!

ParticipantIch bin ein Berliner mural in Georgetown, near the start of the Capital Crescent trail. Contrary to popular belief, JFK did not say that he was a jelly donut.

Nice! Seems a lot of us went there today. They must be wondering why there were so many cyclists!

ParticipantNational Geographic Society, one of the largest non-profit scientific and educational organizations in the world. Their interests include geography, archaeology, and conservation. The society often hosts talks and a variety of exhibits in the museum. They also have a great cafeteria that in pre-pandemic times was open to the public!
