ParticipantSorry last minute but I’ll come and try to catch you at the French School!

ParticipantI keep forgetting that there’s a nice bike lane on Woodley Park Pl. It runs parallel to Conn from Calvert to Cathderal so it allows you to avoid either riding on that stretch of Conn or dodging pedestrians on the side walk. I thought it was amusing though that they allow parking on Sundays in the bike lane. There must be a church somewhere around there!

ParticipantA stretch of 14th St in Columbia Heights was upgraded with a wider bike lane. A lot of cyclists use 14th St so it’s nice to have more space!

Yellow ones are indeed rare! Settled on this red one.

ParticipantCat 5: Another flag to celebrate inauguration. This one is more austere, in Georgetown near the intersection of N St and Wisconsin.

ParticipantLove on Six Lines, in the alley next to Safeway in AdMo. The artist Ravi Raman was inspired by Picasso and was working on a series of murals about the relationship of these two characters with each one using only six lines to draw!

ParticipantThe McMillan sand filtration site, always fun to see when biking around the reservoir by Howard University. When it was completed in 1905 it was considered state of the art using sand instead of chemicals to purify water. Would love to take a tour to check out the catacomb-like cells underneath.

ParticipantI don’t think anyone has claimed this wormhole, the tunnel on Beach Dr. Not even sure if counts since everyone knows it. If the parallel Rock Creek trail was open then this would be a shortcut from the backside of the zoo to Conn Ave.

ParticipantAn action shot of some of us over the weekend on Davids Strava Art ride. I think he gets to name the wormhole since he discovered it. The things that we do for art!

ParticipantNot sure if you’d like a Cool Disco Dan mural in the wild but I think spotted one yesterday by the Howard Theater, next to the Washington mural. It looks more recent so not sure if it’s a tribute to him. Unfortunately it’s obscured right now by the temporary outdoor dining at the Winter Wonderland. I think I know where the Cool Disco Dan mural in the Post article is so will try to go there next.

ParticipantThe lights outside the Shaw Public Library. They always brighten things up on R St!
