Many of us once had your same questions and issues and would be glad to share what has helped us. Also, we’d love to welcome you and introduce you to some of your fellow commuters.

We’re basically a group of bike commuters and I always bring some area bike maps and nametags to help everyone get acquainted. (You don’t need to have any interest in the Tour de France to enjoy this get-together and, while helpful, rsvps are not required.) Please feel welcome to join us!

I hope that those who want to go faster or avoid the MVT crowds (especially during Safetrack) will consider using alternate routes, such as the back way around the Pentagon to Boundary Channel Drive or Eads.

ParticipantIt was fun! I’m glad everyone made it despite the questionable early weather forecasts. About five of us lingered til about 9 pm, a little longer than we probably should have in view of the oncoming red and yellow storm cells. I hope everyone made it home alright!

ParticipantWe needed a Tuesday coffee club on this side of town. Thanks for organizing! Eventually, there will also be the option of swinging up to Commonwealth Joe’s at Eads and 12th to fill up the travel mug.

ParticipantThe temporary MVT curb bumps at the south end of DCA were nicely smoothed out overnight. Many thanks to dbb and others for making that happen!
