ParticipantLooking forward to stopping by to say hello this evening. I’ll stay as long as I can, but I might be in a time crunch. Look for the big purple bike.

ParticipantI’ll keep my eyes peeled! Don’t forget the lights today!

ParticipantSaw Dirt this morning with his Rock em sock em robots in front of the white house, just after I snapped this foggy key bridge pic this morning. Man the sun was in my eyes. Hope everyone enjoyed the extra daylight today, and I know I’m definitely stopping by the light extravaganza at Lynn St. this evening.

Bruggher’s Bagels will be open very soon. Its a good thing.
I grew up on Brueggers from their first store in Troy, NY! Super excited I won’t have to go to DC anymore! Also, a step up from Manhattan Bagel where we currently get our Whole Wheat Everything Bagels.

Participantwelcome Kenny! There’s a free blinky light event on Monday that might be of interest to you. Also, there’s lots of good information about lights, clothing and pretty much everything else you might want to know.
You might pass me going in the opposite direction. I ride from Falls Church to DC on the W&OD and Custis. look for the big purple bike. It’s hard to miss.

ParticipantIt was slightly up the hill from the bridge. Not entirely noticeable if you were in focused ‘get to work’ mode, which i often am.

Participantlooked like a truck took out a section of the jersey barrier on Lee Hwy as I rode past this morning. Anyone else notice that?

3. Get witness names and phone numbers as soon as possible. Don’t rely on the police to do so, witnesses may be gone by the time they get around to it.
Make sure the witness actually saw the crash, not just the aftermath.

4. Don’t discuss the details of the crash with medical personnel beyond what they need to know about your injuries. If they write down an improper interpretation of the accident, it is a legal record.
make sure to mention you were in an accident with a bicycle and a car. Bruce noted that he’s heard of medical staff writing down “fell off bike” instead of “hit by car”

ParticipantThe audio was audible this morning. not production quality, but about as good as some youtube videos. I could hear everything pretty well.

If you see me on the ride home today, ask really nicely and I can probably hook you up with a bottle of good gin, tequilla, bitters, ice wine or various cordials.
I’d be happy to help lighten your burden :p before, or after west end park.
