ParticipantThe downpour of rain was more than I was bargaining for, but the wool baselayer kept me toasty, had a riding buddy for most of the commute home, which helped, and the sunset made it all worth it!

ParticipantI think if we could get a live human rock em sock em on the front of Dirt’s cargo bike, we might have something special. Maybe even through the Lynn St intersection!

ParticipantI was wondering about this place. The Lady saw it last week and mentioned it to me, and I saw them messing with their window display last night. It’ll be nice to have a new local place now that Bike Club has been closed for fire code violations. or so i hear.

ParticipantThe fresh air alone is worth it, but I have been loving the foggy landscape views from the Key and Memorial Bridges, not to mention seeing the moon sitting over the Washington monument. Also saw an accident in one of the new westbound lanes on 66. As I rode above him on the Custis, I had the all too familiar thought, “Glad I’m not that guy!”

Not a cop?
The guy I saw on Tuesday morning had a jacket that said ‘POLICE’ on the back. I thought it was a really long walk of shame from halloween.

ParticipantSaw this same dude yesterday at the intersection of the W&OD and the bridge that goes to N. Potomac St by Madison Manor Park. He was pointing the device at folks heading eastbound.

ParticipantI was gonna say, “Wait til they get a hold of your ‘nappin series’ photos!”

ParticipantHey mrkenny. That was me that yelled a hello waldo as I passed you on the w&od near banneker park. I was talking to my buddy, otherwise probably would have seen you sooner. Hope you made it to the light event, they were mobbed when I left around 5 pm

I am trying to decide if I should shell out for a more powerful light
There are a lot of suggestions about lighting here, and a lot of personal experience with different brands.

ParticipantWhenever I come into this intersection from the bridge, I always slow down
1. the deck can be slippery.
2. people coming from the south on MVT often don’t stop or look to see folks like me coming down from the bridge.
3. joggers never look.americancyclo

Lots of usable parts there… wait, I think that makes me an awful person. In all seriousness I hope the bike got the worst of that incident.
Not awful, opportunistic! I am an organ donor, why shouldn’t my bike be as well? We should make a sticker!

Better yet…. Here’s action footage of the Rock’em Sock’em Robots: http://youtu.be/wI331Rsrqb4
Is that your point and shoot, or do you have an ‘action camera’ mounted to the big dummy? Been thinking about getting that Contour I see on sale everywhere now.
