I can teach everyone how to turn a pair of tan coveralls into a Ghostbusters costume and make proton packs out of trash.
And I promise, once you have a pair of tan coveralls with Ghostbusters details, you will want to wear them everywhere.
I cannt get Erin’s link to work, but these may be cheaper: https://shop.opticsplanet.com/tru-spec-27-p-flight-suit.html?_iv_code=7Q-UF-33D30944-2662025&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=plusbox-beta&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzK_bBRDDARIsAFQF7zOiynkjLI5GSrYzAe0KDA2K6Dg1PeLHY0CpxzhTafPkUgJ9CwljqGUaAjPZEALw_wcB

Too bad they didn’t send Emma Pooley out there for it. She is super awesome and dreamy.
I’m still a little sad that Matthew Stephens left

Today on Joyce St in Pentagon city: plenty of parking, but still chose to park in the bikelane

ParticipantAs of this past week, the condo in Arlington is sold and we move to Manassas Park the beginning of June. We found a place off of Signal View Dr less than two miles from the Manassas Park VRE, and there’s a bike path option almost the entire way to the station.
Again, I want to thank everyone who responded. I’m really looking forward to getting settled out there and exploring the roads & trails.

Bike to Work Week Registration is now open. Sign up here: https://www.crystalcity.org/do/bike-to-work-week9
Bike to Work Week is a lot of fun. Coffee and squagels in the Crystal City Waterpark. I owe my friendship with Komorebi and LSG mostly due to BTWW two years ago. Crystal City BID usually gives out good swag everyday and REALLY good swag for people that come all 5 days.
If you come by on Friday, I’ll be captaining WABA’s tent at Crystal City. If you’re interested in volunteering some of your morning to help me promote cycling and WABA, let me know and I can get you signed up.
Do any of the folks who are volunteering for Bike to Work Week know if anyone will be at the CC waterpark by 6:15-6:30ish for set up? I’ve coordinated with work that I’ll arrive late that week, but I’m usually already at my office when the stop opens at 7:00. Wondering if I could check in a little early

The Giant in Bailey’s Crossroads is going to be the nearest grocery store, but from an ease of getting there standpoint, it looks like going to the Harris Teeter in Shirlington is probably a better option.
Im just up CP from your new place and while the Bailey’s Crossroads Giant is closer, the Harris Teeter in Shirlington is much easier and safer to get to & from by bike with groceries. If you must go to a Giant, I’d recommend the Giant across Glebe from 4MRT instead.
The Shirlington HT also has covered bike parking. I don’t recall any bike racks at either Giant.

ParticipantFrom the article link: The incident happened within perhaps 100 yards of a crosswalk, Moir said. “It is dangerous to cross roadways in the evening hour when well-illuminated, managed crosswalks are available,” she said.

ParticipantI cannot attend the meeting and not specifically bike related, but I’d like to know the status of the plan to convert the pedestrian activated crosswalk light to a stop light at the intersection of Columbia Pike and S Frederick St.
Cars routinely ignore the lights and this Arlnow article published after a woman from my building was hit trying to cross there in 2014 summarizes the issue: https://www.arlnow.com/2014/12/10/residents-want-traffic-light-at-columbia-pike-s-frederick-street/

You know what would be even more useful? A bicycle route that is direct/straight, continuous across the county, and actually serves all of the businesses in this corridor.
I know a street just two blocks north with these exact properties…
Thats just crazy talk
