ParticipantI received my first smart trainer over the weekend. A CycleOps PowerBeam Pro Ant+. I had been using a dumb trainer previously (CycleOps Fluid2). So far so good!
The cheapest price I found was at BackCountry.com which was offering it last week for $499 plus free two day shipping. I see today that they are out of stock but offering the bluetooth version for the same price.

Great looking bike, and I agree with you. The fat rims and 3″ width make my 6Fattie (Stumpy) one of the funnest bikes in the stable

ParticipantForgot to add to the N+1.
Ordered this up last week. Expected arrival: late February.

Not sure yet what components to hang on it. might try campy potenza, but swap for chorus levers (and to be super matchy-matchy, swap the silver potenza blades onto the chorus levers, or swap in chorus ultra-shift guts into the potenza levers…).

Ooooo!!!! That’ll be a nice bike when you get it built up. Looking forward to seeing it when it’s finished.

This is real nice! Congratulations. I’m certainly interested in the details of the parts you decided on and even some photos of the building process.
Thanks
Bob

As always, I can’t wait to see the final build here! Your bike aesthetics are always so fresh. Hope to see the new build at HP simetims when that is back on regularly.

Excellent. And super-duper-plus points for the Campagnolo-ness!

I’m REALLY tempted to grab some chrome vinyl film and run a wrap around the entire seat post, once I’ve got it set in the right position. Probably going to run the Spec. Aerofly hbars (Marginal GainsĀ®) and a Ritchey Classic stem in a 120mm, but bar wrap and saddle color are TBD. I’m wanting to try one of the Spec. Power saddles, too. Not sure if skinwall tires are going to look OK on this, but I love how the Turbo Cottons roll. So fast.
This season is gonna be fun – we’ve got at least 5 teammates running around on the new Sprint X2s in various colorways. Fun Fact: the Sprint X1/X2 head tube is a full cm shorter than a Tarmac’s – these bikes are LOOOOOW and feel Tarmac-stiff in the BB. mucho stoked.

ParticipantFor more than a year I’ve been thinking about a new basket for my toodler bike. The old wire basket was bent up and not very flattering.
I finally pulled the trigger on this faux wicker basket.

I like the straps & buckles that hold it on.

ParticipantMy $20 Amazon bar mitts. Great balance to my $125 Specialized ones my wife is using.
Not as nice, no hole for a bar plug to stabilize it but appear to be worth it at $105 less.

Lovely bike! How are you liking that Thomson setback seatpost? I’ve got my eye on the same one (well, one rung down).
