Heh, yeah. The others didn’t work in this light, but I will take more soon
I’m quite impressed with the finish quality of this frame — seems a little better attention to detail and the interior of the frame looks really clean, compared to my current one. I’m also psyched for the fully internal cable routing (current one runs brake line externally). I’m waiting on a 25ft roll of Jagwire housing before I build it up / move over my components.

No, I don’t think so. I might give away a too-large disc frame without a fork, though. Kinda one of those things you get for free that makes you spend hundreds of dollars.

You’re gonna make someone else buy a full frame just for the fork?

Yes! — though I kinda regretted not paying the $150 for another fork when I ordered this one, since a disc fame*set* is a lot more useful than a forkless frame. I will probably just keep the frame in the attic as a spare in case I break my new one.

Will be running white bartape, saddle, some gumwall challenge grifos, and eventually purple ano Tune seatpost and stem… might eventually lace up a set of chi-chi wheels with purple White Ind. hubs laced to polished Velocity Airlerons – WOOT!

Participantand because it’s perfectly acceptable to photochop what you want your new ride to become in an effort to kill the time it took for the big red S to get them in stock:

That is a damn sexy build. Expected nothing less.
So no tubeless? Or are you running tubular (initially)? I have heard mediocre things about the ailerons, but I can’t think of another all-silver rim to suggest instead. Unless the SL25 comes in a polished finish? (The Archetype does come in a polished finish, which might be another good option.). You could save a few hundred dollars (I am guessing) and go with purple Hope hubs too.

Heh. That’s “White Ind.” = “White Industries”. A purple WI hub.

I think we should officially designate Harry Meatmotor as the Arbiter of Style.

My daughter would love that, but I’m not spending that kind of coin on a kids’ bike.

I like the idea of the CLD interface better than the ISO 6 bolt standard – but I’ll need to take measurements/mockup the white CLD hubs. sometimes there’s clearance issues (and supposedly Specialized Crux bikes are not so CLD friendly…). I’d have to dig for the purple ano Hopes, QBP doesn’t stock them, I don’t think… as far as tubeless, that’s something I’d like to start to tinker with. I’m watching November’s blog carefully; dave and mike are screwing around with a bunch of tires, and I’m wont to see what they like, or better still, what takes a good thrashing.
