I test rode one at Bicycle Space in the District a few months back. They seem to keep them in stock. They’re also very nice, so I’m sure you could call (earlier in the day is better).
Is it terrible to ride one at Bicycle Space and make the purchase at Bikenetic? I’ve gotten a lot of help from Bikenetic already, they’re my (very) local shop, and they have that awesome lifetime adjustment policy.

Sale price at REI was pretty good. Really excited! So tempting! It’s a good thing they don’t have them in orange, or I might do something irresponsible.

What did you think of the Straggler? You’re the only person I know who’s ridden one!

Orange is still available at other online retailers like the Bike Bag Store, but of course, sadly without good sales like this or the member benefits.

ParticipantWon’t have pictures until they arrive in a week or so, but we bought my wife a Linus Mixte (she’d had enough of trying to get a CaBi in Columbia Heights in the morning) and I got an Xtracylce Edgerunner with the family kit to haul the kids around.
Yes, dasgeh, we’re planning on attending a #Kidical ride.
I’m also going to have a Burley 2 kid trailer for sale. I’ll put it up here before it goes to Craigslist. It’s got some blemishes, which I’ll highlight, but it gets the job done.

Bought me a Garmin Virb camera onsale at REI. Look forward to collecting tons of boring bike videos that I never get around to editing down to something watchable.
The plan is to capture some stuff to make riding the trainer next winter a little less like a torture session.
Let me know what you think of it. I’m in the action cam for commuting market and this seems a good alternative to a Go Pro or Contour Roam.

FYI they have a Straggler on the floor there still, not sure of the size. I know you wanted to ride one…

Trying to figure out when I can get there. I have Tuesday off…it may be a nice day to ride out there and take the straggler for a spin.

ParticipantI typed in all caps but the forum anti-shouting filter un-capitalized. You got the point, though.

ParticipantDefinitely check out the Tamland too. It sounds like it checks a lot of the same boxes. The dropout system on the Straggler might be annoying if you don’t plan to ever actually run it singlespeed. Also the Tamland has rear caliper mounted inside the rear triangle which is a definite plus for fitting rack/fenders.

ParticipantI bought a Brooks C-17 Cambium yesterday to put the finishing touches on my Salsa Vaya (Monster Commuter). Just need King to send my water bottle cages.
