ParticipantSo for what it’s worth a good friend of mine who works at WaPo said that the executive editor of the paper is pissed about this column. Might be worth sending email (martin.baron@washpost.com) or tweet (@PostBaron) to him to reinforce how terrible the column is.

Unpopular opinion: I love this article.
Every bitter word betrays his feelings of impotence. Of inevitable irrelevance. I finished reading and thought only, “I’m winning.”
There is a lot to this. Progress, especially rapid progress, perhaps inevitably brings backlash. There is so much positive that is happening.

ParticipantSo basically, if you get run off the road now, you can also include the Washington Post in the lawsuit for suggesting it. Deep pockets, you know.

I’ll have to check this out once I’m out from behind a corporate firewall and have a cell signal. I think this might just have be my lunch hour for tomorrow!

Include Milloy individually too.

It would have more meaning if they printed this in the paper edition, on the same page that Milloy’s column is found in the Metro section.

ParticipantEven Marion Barry agreed that “most bikes are NOT like that” via his Twitter account.

When CM Barry is distancing himself from you because you are a demagogue, its perhaps time to sit down and rethink.

ParticipantThere was one positive thing about Milloy’s article: I had no idea that a bike escalator was being discussed for 15th Street bike lane north of V Street.
I now know what it is!

What’s funny is that it wasn’t really being discussed, but Milloy’s article probably increased its visibility.

That bike elevator thing is absurd. As someone who frequently uses the hill in question, and frequently goes on a long detour to avoid it when pulling the kids, I absolutely do not want one public penny spent on a bike elevator. There are literally thousands of better ways to spend money.
