ParticipantWell, this is kind of embarrassing given the standard that’s been set but…it works for my two bikes and gear. I guess it could use some tidying up.

ParticipantVery fledgling minor league bike shop out in the back half of our unheated garage. I like puttering around out there though and there is a decent amount of space for n+1.

ParticipantWe totally lose the bike room competition

ParticipantThere is no room in our house for any bikes, so they reside in the shed. Work has to be done outside. Sometimes in cold weather, if my wife is away, I will sneak one into the family room for repairs.

(Probably time to get rid of the scooters, since my son is in college now)

I’m pretty sure that’s a win in our book.

Since you posted these pics, that means that we have “before” pictures so we can start on the bike room “after” pictures.

ParticipantThere’s also a couple other bikes elsewhere in the house, but that’s usually the way it is. I usually put whatever bike I’m currently riding/planning to ride in a more accessible area.

Tools and stuff are spread over various shelves and bins. One day I need to (re)organize it all completely.February 3, 2014 at 1:41 pm #992756consularrider

Well, you’ve got that large bike room over on Baltimore Ave.

ParticipantLots of cool setups in this thread. Its always neat to see how people deal with lots of bikes and tools in limited space. For a few years, I shared a 1-bedroom apartment in Tysons with my ex-gf, and the bike room was our tiny kitchen. I can’t find any pictures of it, but it was definitely a squeeze.
For historical perspective, this was the original bike room in my place:
My ex at the time didn’t want me taking over the rec room with my bikes. Eventually I made the case that the rec room wasn’t being used for anything else, and I really needed the space. And then we split up and I now can do whatever I want
