Fellow tetradecagonians – If you haven’t already chimed in that you’re doing the ride to Duffy’s tomorrow (and if you’re inviting anyone), please do so ASAP! I need to make sure Tom has an accurate head/bike count. Thanx!

Hey! We’re in second place for team sleaze rides. Only two behind Team 10. We need more sleaze!

Yes! Fewer miles is definitely better for your team!

Fun ride to Duffy’s today! Thanks to all who made it. We’ll have to do it again.

Let’s try to keep the team socializing thing going. Who’s up for some sort of coffee ride next Sunday? I know most of us live in the Arlington/Falls Church area, so maybe a ride out the bike trail to Vienna? I know Jammin’ Java is in Vienna but the last time we went there for coffee it was just OK. Service was incredibly slow. But the good thing about Jammin’ Java is that we could park the bikes right out front and not have to worry about them too much because they would be within short line of sight.

Has anyone been to Caffe Amouri? https://www.caffeamouri.com On my list of coffee places to visit. Can we park bikes and keep an eye on them?

Open to other suggestions that aren’t Starbucks. And this ride would definitely be open to infiltration.

Thanks for organizing yesterday’s ride, Chuck! I had a great time and got to ride on a few roads/trails that I’ve never been on before.

I could probably join a coffee ride next Sunday. I haven’t been to either place, so I’ll be excited to try them.

We also talked a bit about a ride to Caboose Brewing in Vienna (http://www.caboosebrewing.com/) – I’d love to make that happen someday!

Amouri is a regular coffee club on Thursday mornings; no trouble piling bikes up and having a coffee. Don’t go to Jammin’ Java for a coffee; go there for an evening show, though.

Thanks for intel on Caffe Amouri!

Who’s up for riding to coffee Sunday morning? What time is a good time for folks? I was thinking meeting for coffee at Caffe Amouri in Vienna at 0930. Earlier would be OK, but not later. Let me know what your preference is. Please invite any riding friends … BAFS or otherwise. And I can post on the BAFS calendar so others can infiltrate.

Since we’re all coming from different directions, the idea is everyone does their own ride to meet for coffee. If people want to coordinate riding together, that’s up to them to figure that out. I live in Arlington (near Fort Myer) and would be happy to meet up with anyone at a convenient location. Depending on who else wants to ride, we could do the W&OD (easy) or I have a longer (and hillier) route (which would require an earlier start to get to Vienna at 0930).

    LET’S DO THIS!

I am in (I think) Another option might be the Green lizard. GL is 100% pure bike friendly with no need to lock your bike parking, has bikes, coffee, beer and snacks. It is a little bit further down the W&OD in Herndon. Falls church to there is just under 15 easy miles. Green Lizard would add about 15 miles RT to a Vienna ride. We could meet in Vienna and then ride west to GL or not.

If folks would rather do the Green Lizard, I’m fine with that … except I won’t be able to join you. I don’t have enough time to kill riding and coffee-ing/socializing this Sunday.
