Yes, do this. Sorry.

Done. Thanks for setting up the club, Amalitza!
It was great seeing so many of you at the happy hour, and I hope to meet the rest of you soon.

GuestIntroduction:
So for the team members who don’t know me, my Strava name is the same as my forum name. My real name is Amy.
I live in the Belle View area just south of Old Town Alexandria. I work way out in the boonies in southern Maryland. I don’t bike commute in the winter (sorry, because that upped my miles considerably over the summer) because my commute is long and scary and dark in the winter. I ride during lunch time, on weekends, and for errands and such. Would be happy join some other team members for weekend rides. Or you can always ride out to Indian Head and join me for lunch.
Open invitation for all team members!
Also, TwoWheelsDC and I were on the 2014 winning team together, which I’m pretty sure means we are guaranteed to win this year too.
Go team 11!

But Dread and I were on the 2013 losing team together…
But anyway, I’m Marc and I live in Westover (between EFC and Ballston, by the Beer Garden and Lost Dog). I’m the opposite of Amy, in that my winter miles are pretty much only commuting miles, although I’m totally up for some team rides if they aren’t ungodly early and/or long.

ParticipantLooks like we have a good mix of veterans and newbies. This should be fun.
My Strava name is the same as my forum name. I commute from OT Alexandria to downtown DC most days, and I often go to Wednesday coffee club (imperial HDCC, at Best Buns in Shirlington). My weekend rides are usually to run errands, with occasional longer rides if the weather cooperates. Happy to do some team rides, especially if dessert is involved.

ParticipantHi, everyone! Sorry that I missed happy hour. I had to be out of town this week. I will be home by Monday. I am getting most of my miles from commuting, which I do on my ubernerd folding bike and sometimes bike share, but if we decide to do a team ride like some other teams, I’d bring out my cool roadie. I live in NW DC and work in Chevy Chase. Do I get extra points for dodging the CCT’s Aggressive Owl?

ParticipantHey there! I’m Arden. On that team list above I’m Ardent1 but somehow on this forum my username is Wheelove. Sorry they don’t match: I’m not sure how to fix either.
After being locked out of the forums this whole time, I’m finally able to post, so HELLO. I’m a first time FS’er so I’m learning the ropes and I promise to get in sleaze rides on the days that I’m unable to squeeze in more miles. My goal is to ride every day from here on out, even if just a sleaze ride.
My miles will be a mix of commuting and non-commuting. I work at several offices, and I can usually commute 2-3 days per week with varying mileage.

I would certainly think so!

ParticipantAre we still missing a few riders on Strava? Anything I/we can do to help get them into the Strava club thing?
Thanks-

GuestI have already invited them via strava to join the team and emailed them. BeeTinDC is one of our members missing on strava, so she’s clearly not really missing just busy travelling and hasn’t had a chance to join the strava club yet.
There are two others missing. I believe at least one of them has also been travelling.

ParticipantHi team 11. I introduced myself briefly on our Strava group. I live out in Manassas and work in DC at the Library of Congress. I’ll be trying to front load miles in January as I’m not sure how things will go in February, though I do plan on at least doing sleaze rides each day with the hopes for longer ones.
I know there is some discussion to post here or on Strava so I’ll post to both. This is a bit late, but I just read some from team 16 and others are meeting at Hanes Point at 9am by the tennis courts is anyone can make it with such late notice.

ParticipantThe contest has reached Biblical proportions. We’ve now been at it “40 days and 40 nights”.

ParticipantWe’re doing great, but I think Robert J had to correct some miles since you took that screenshot. Must have had a strava glitch. Or he was messing with Caleb.
