Weather and responses are LOOKING UP for Sunday’s CLEAN UP of the Hayes/Jay Street CycleTrack Cleanup!

Meet at the corner of Anacostia and Hayes at 1 PM SUNDAY:

OR, alternatively, meet us at Hains Point (Golf Course Parking LOT) at 11:45 am for an 8 mile ride to the event.

Bring a bike lock. Stay as long as you can.

SUPPLIES (push brooms, dust pans, grabbers) have been generously loaned by WABA. Protective gloves, plastic bags, and pails for glass will be provided.
    SNACKS and WATER too.

PHOTOS will be taken for Pointless Prize Samaritan credit!

PLUS you will meet my wonderful guy, Henry, who has graciously volunteered to drive all the stuff there and haul away all the garbage and glass.

PLEASE respond here if you will be there. Need count for SNACKS.

If weather turns bad I will post here, so if in doubt please check Sunday morning.

    Hi Jessica,

I am seriously considering this one and might be there to help with the cleanup. I mentioned earlier to my team captain Nadine that “I’m in”, but I blurted this out before my wife had surgery on her arm this past Thursday. It may be wiser for me to stay home and keep an eye on things as I’ve been doing today.

If I can make it, for the cleanup, I’ll be there.

    Thanks so much

Bob, thanks so much for considering it. But looks like we will have a decent turnout. I scouted the CycleTrack today. It has a moderate but not overwhelming amount of glass and garbage. I think we will be able to take care of business!
Also, simple rule of life: WIFE FIRST.
