I bet the “issues” cited along S George Mason Drive (numerous vehicles hit) is just a sign of drivers doing bad driver things. Supposedly this stuff increases as light decreases each year. Along Walter Reed Drive, some over-achieving driver took out not one but two streetlights in one attempt. Pretty impressive given the distance between the light poles. Skills.

The number of drivers who run into parked cars, buildings, etc., is mind boggling. Couple weeks ago a guy drove into a parked car across the street under a streetlight on a perfectly straight stretch of road. (I suspect speed and phone may have been factors…)
