The W&OD is the bermuda triangle of wind. I had plenty of days where the weather said it would be a tailwind, I got out there and got a headwind instead.

But yeah, the days with a strong steady tailwind are sweet. :)

For the rest of you headed into the wind today… SUCKAS!

It takes a lot to make me smile out here in my Sterling warehouse, but thoughts of heading EB this afternoon after fighting my way out here this morning are making me very happy… In fact I think the wind angle is just about right for a broad reach.. if only I were thicker I could take advantage of it!

I always get a headwind on the W&OD – but why going both ways? It’s just not fair!

Sweet and lucky! I for real almost got blown off the trail last night. Crazy wind, looking forward to April and the winds of change to stop.

I just got back from biking westbound on Custis and W&OD. Enjoy your tailwind!

    Yup…

However, I did get blown into traffic on Cascades Parkway out in Loudoun, definitely a pucker-factor there.

Hey I’m not going to show my work. I was fast, for ME, but I wasn’t “fast” :)

I didn’t think yesterday was quite as bad as a few weeks ago, but it was fun riding across 14th St Bridge (ok, really Mason, but I will never call it by it’s right now except in paranthesis) and tilting into the wind.
