Route suggestions and any fellow riders? Burke pit stop/VRE to Old Town Alexandria

Anyone riding from the Burke VRE station / pit stop tomorrow to or near Old Town Alexandria ? I saw this proposed route which looks ok, a couple of parks/trails. I am thinking about riding my mtn bike as opposed to my road bike.

I have tried the route along Fairfax County Pkwy and have gotten as far as Franconia Springfield metro in the past but would like to try the above route as an alternative.
