We just started using the Burley Honey Bee for our one-year-old. We’ve taken him through Rock Creek Park and it’s gone very well.

We’d like to bike downtown from time to time to go to the National Mall, get lunch, etc., but I feel like I never see anyone biking downtown with a child in a trailer.

Do people generally feel it’s safe to bike with a Burley around cars on busy city streets?

    Thanks!

I have biked around with Willow (dog) in a Burley trailer. Folks, especially in cars, generally give us more space and get quite excited to see a puppy being towed in a trailer. I think as long as you use common sense and are extremely predictable, you will be fine with the kiddo in a trailer.

    ALWAYS use the trailer’s flag.

I love that this two year old thread got reinvigorated by a spam account.

Well, not a Burley, but my dog does ride in a bike trailer.
