Returning to riding —tuneups Alexandria(ish) area—

Hey all, been a while since I was a regular on these forums (commuter part mostly).  Great work with advocating on mups—like night and day from when I was riding daily.

anyway, regrettably I haven’t dusted off my bikes more than once or twice in the last few years with kids.  Looking to get back and wondering from folks on tuneups.  I’d done Spokes sometimes off Belle View (for those who know it) but not since it became Trek and used to Handybikes going back to when he was in the Navy but not since he opened the storefront.  So just curious where folks recommend these days?  Thanks and ready to hop back on the saddle

The last time I was in Trek in Belle View the mechanics were mostly the same people. Other options assuming you live near Belle View include Contes in Old Town.

 

Be prepared for a couple of things: (1) you’ll be paying quite a bit more and (2) many bike shops try to upsell you on services. Know what you want done and stick to it.
