    I found PG County’s last rural road in the DC area (for now) this weekend. Its closer to DC than you think.

    This is Mellwood Road heading north and ending just south of Westphilia Road and east of Penn Ave. There are mistakes in this route and a few poor choices especially around Andrews AFB and Richie Marlboro Road was not great. Should have turn right off of Westphalia and take Brooke Road. Henson Creek Trail was really cool. Let me know if you interested, I’ll ride it with you again.

    We don’t need no stinkin’ air conditioning! A few more granny gear would have helped as I climbed this segment on a rented mountain bike.
