No, but I did see an ice hockey game being played on the pond along the custis near cherrydale. Was too cold to take a picture…

I must admit, when reading this forum I always wondered how so many people were falling over in bad weather. I guess I deserved what happened tonight:

(about 7 seconds in is when the fun happens; this is on the bridge approaching the TR island parking lot)

Glad you weren’t seriously hurt, falls on ice happen so fast you don’t have time to react.

I hope you aren’t suggesting that nvrpa is full of it.

Yep that’s how it happens. Having flashbacks o my commute home last Thursday evening. Glad you were able to get up in one piece, too.

Not at all. I love having the trails to myself. :D

Even when we had enough snow, there were 2 or 3 ski tracks compared to many, many dozens, if not hundreds of cyclist tracks.

A pannier hooked onto a shopping cart is super helpful when you have two kids that want to ride in the shopping cart. Bonus points when shopping at the Washington Blvd Giant with U-Scan — you can be all loaded by the time you pay. :-)

That’s one reason I do my shopping at the Giant here in Silver Spring before heading back into DC. I don’t like the unpleasant surprise of discovering I bought more than I can fit into my panniers. The two DC stores closest to me don’t have the scanners.
