I love ski goggles for cold weather riding – keeps your sinuses/nosebridge a little warmer, anti-fog, a little bit of sun shade, and keeps eyeballs warm. Although today I did notice my eyes getting cold when riding into the wind. The big downside is reduced peripheral vision compared to a good set of sunglasses. I have two pairs of goggles that I bought just for cold weather riding.
What do you have and which do you prefer?

I need to replace my old goggles (they’re older than some of my BAFS teammates). They were great for keeping my eyes and surrounding skin from freezing, but have lost all their anti-fogging properties and most of the insulating foam around the edges.
For your inner wookie. I mean, you still need to get goggles separately, but this is pretty sweet!

saliva always works pretty well in my experience. just remember to wipe it on and let it dry BEFORE you go out in to the cold.

You just want to see how many people are going to spit on their goggles…

Even that didn’t help.

The only thing that worked for me, even with decent goggles, was pulling my balaclava down. It ended up being fine, because my lips/nose aren’t particularly sensitive to cold. I prefer to have my mouth/nose exposed anyway, as breathing through a balaclava is extremely difficult for me.

Having no experience with goggles, I just went and bought a cheap pair of Oakleys on Amazon (they were ~$31 when I bought them) and another cheap pair Dragon “Vendetta” from The Clymb (~$20 at the time). Actually both of these are listed as motocross goggles. The Oakleys are a smaller frame but fit me fine and came with a clear lens – you can buy tinted lenses to swap in too. I also use them during peak pollen season. The Dragons are full size and the graphics are a bit much but they work fine, and are tinted. I haven’t tried wearing spectacles under either of them, if that’s important. I like the Oakleys better because they aren’t huge but if it’s sunny enough I’ll take the other pair.
I probably wear goggles < 10 times a year so I didn't want to spend too much on them. Regularly snowbound folks probably have much better suggestions.

Yeah, it’s pretty nice. And it’s only the nicest early summer days that they actually fill up. There are a couple wheel-bender racks, too. Secure garage.

Yeah I almost never wear a full balaclava because it makes fogging up worse, I’ll usually go with a Buff above the goggles and one below. Or something like one of these for the neck/lower face.

ParticipantBaby shampoo works to keep swim goggles from fogging up (usually). Don’t know if it would work with ski goggles too. Rinse the goggles before using and let air dry, unless you want to go outside with wet goggles on your face.
