Skreaminquadz’ new rain jacket worked nicely.If anyone sees Skreaminquadz, could you ask him to join Team One’s Strava group? I’ve tried to contact him but have not heard back.

Just pm’d him, he said he’ll sign in later today.

I rode with Dogsled Guy for about 40 minutes this morning. It was awesome!
Did you ask him about his dogs allegedly biting someone?

Last July versus yesterday. As an ophthalmologist might query, “Which is better, 1;
or 2?”
A couple more degrees and I could claim I’ve ridden a thermal century. Not likely to want (or survive) a metric thermal century!
I got it this morning – 111.5 degree swing between July and today

ParticipantHey, where is everybody?
Slacking my way in on metro. Got a disabled train ahead but at least the heat is blowing on my feet.

Participant^ I really could have used ski goggles like that — my sunglasses got fogged up the moment I put them on, so I had to take them off.

Yeah, it was my first time using ski goggles to ride. And I can tell you – it helped tremendously! Although, right after snapping this pic my wife said that it looked like I was going to go rob a bank.

ParticipantI need to replace my old goggles (they’re older than some of my BAFS teammates). They were great for keeping my eyes and surrounding skin from freezing, but have lost all their anti-fogging properties and most of the insulating foam around the edges.

A bicycle might not be the best getaway vehicle…

Very true. But I guess she never said I looked like a “smart” bank robber.

ParticipantI love ski goggles for cold weather riding – keeps your sinuses/nosebridge a little warmer, anti-fog, a little bit of sun shade, and keeps eyeballs warm. Although today I did notice my eyes getting cold when riding into the wind. The big downside is reduced peripheral vision compared to a good set of sunglasses. I have two pairs of goggles that I bought just for cold weather riding.
Passed this on my lunchtime ride. It’s funny how appealing ice cream looks even when it’s frozen outside.
