Looks like cars may be winning the war on cars.

I found a bicycle in a geocache along the WOD!

    Apparently its somebody’s boyscout project.

And then I went to go visit some guy named Richard Hanssen. He wasnt there. Apparently he is busy serving a life sentence in the bighouse. This bridge is where Mr. Hanssen used to collect bags of money from the Ruskies. It was featured in a movie “Breach.”

26 miles. 6 geocaches. 1 boy scout project. 1 really good cup of coffee at Cafe Amouri.

Bob, so did you leave the travel bug at the last geocache spot you visited on your ride, or do you do something else with it?

It was warm. And it’s been a few weeks since I’ve been on my bike other than on a trainer. Perfect solution: Ride!

Headed out from Rehoboth Beach to Millford to go to Dogfish Head Brewery. Shouldn’t be bad, only 58 miles round trip right?

There were lots of cows out there today, especially on Dairy Farm Road.

    Along the way, I rode by A. A. Milne’s american kin…

About 19 miles in, the voice in my head that was saying “Oh this is going to be easy.” was saying “Wow, your back is really stiff. Maybe you should turn around.” Then a mile later, the other voices chimed in, so I did turn around without getting to the brewery. Guess I’ll do that at a later date.

On the way back I stopped briefly at Pepper’s greenhouses, where they grow the peppers that go into their hot sauces.

But with all the open fields and the winds that were either a cross-wind or a head-wind, it was a rough first ride back on the bike; I never thought I’d learn to draft a tree.

It’s along for the ride for now. I thought that I would give it a few miles, put it in one of my favorite caches. It should complete its journey soon. Too bad there are no cache containers down on Hains Point (no geocaching containers allowed on NPS).

Is this along “George Mason Drive” north of Yorktown?

I used to go geocaching with my oldest girl all the time, but haven’t done it in a bit. We used to use an old handheld marine garmin. Curious, what device are they using today? Can it be done on a smartphone now? Any app you would recommend? This would be an easy, great way to get my girl to ride with me.
    Thanks

I think there were several drop points. This particular drop point is out north of Vienna.

Florida, Day One: wind is a great substitute for hills.

I think I found a hill that’s safe from Tim Kelley:
