No kidding. If you ever get off the bike long enough and have a spare hour or two your ride sounds well worth a good long post with pix and backround of the planning and layout.

Snuck out for a late lunch ride through Haines Point yesterday. The blossoms are gorgeous. Almost beautiful enough to make the craziness worth it. Almost.

Riding through at 730 is the best. Surprisingly, there are a lot of people still down there, but it’s practically deserted compared to the evenings, and car traffic on Ohio is almost non-existent (until you see the s%&tshow that is Independence Ave at 23rd). I love getting to see the monuments without the crowds, and have it be warm at the same time:
