Backroads Century was OFF THE HOOK beautiful this past Sunday. Seriously have not ever had weather that good. Did it stop my buddy and I from missing a turn early and going a total of 122 miles? No, it didn’t. But it made our screwup a lot easier to handle. :)

Awesome! Yeah, isn’t that a blast? It is great in winter too, because the leaves are gone, making it easy to see around some of those hairpin turns.

I miss riding at The Rose. Great loop! REALLY fun on a cross bike…. or a fat bike in 6+ inches of snow.

    You are freaking awesome, Liz!

39 miles at the PP Farm Tour. The day started with apple pie and ice cream. It finished with a massive picnic. Really well done!

Did the full century at the Northern Neck River Ride this Saturday. One of those days where the wind really was in your face the entire ride. Lots of harvested corn fields and yet to be harvested soy, and nicely stocked rest stops, that took you to the really interesting historical parts of the lower Northern Neck.

And the real reason to ride… Heaven on a Bun – Mr. Lee’s Shrimp Steak.

    Those are some nice pictures.
Could not have asked for better weather. That was my first time riding that fondo and I can say that has become my favorite ride. I didn’t do particularly well for I haven’t been training, but wow, what a pretty ride. The gravel highway through Amish country, saying hi to goats and zig zagging across all those rivers made it memorable. That Reddish Knob was painful, but that first gravel bit was absolutely brutal.
