I finished this video from a biking trip I made down in the Myrtle Beach area about a week ago. I found it’s difficult to get between North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach without having to use US-17, a horrible highway by all standards (some areas have no sidewalks, some areas have no shoulders, 3 lane, 45 mph “optional” speed limit, some stoplights do not have crosswalk buttons, no stoplights detect cyclists), but I did find a couple of nice roads perfect for uninterrupted cycling. Also, getting caught in a downpour was awesome, and I was even treated to a rainbow afterwards! Here’s the video:

Note: I have one more video biking on the beach, then I will get to putting together a 50 States Ride video. Hopefully I can get it done this week!

I haven’t caught one of these in years. It was on my ride down to Mt. Vernon. It is either a green mamba or a rough green tree snake. I’m going with the mamba.
