Looking for new places to explore in Arlington, I happened upon the Arlington History Bicycle Tour (2 weeks ago, but finally finished the video). Here’s the webpage with directions, maps, and descriptions: http://www.bscl.org/histride.htm
It was kinda cool seeing the name origins of many places around the county along with exploring some of those random off-ramps from some of the major trails. Here’s my video with pics of the ride:
Very cool!! Great video. Thanks for posting. I recognized many spots, but was surprised at how many I didn’t know. Bonus — they’re website has a .gpx file. I’m adding this ride to my list.
Poking around Rehoboth Beach. This trail was paved then gravel (passable on 23mm road tires) then sand. I turned around at the sand. I would have hung out here for a minute but the horseflies were too thick.

Very nice! I’m going to add this video to the BA webpage where we have the tour linked and do some social mediaing.
Cool! Thanks! I should also mention that the Arlington Historical Society held a bike tour on June 8th, but I found out too late to participate. I’m not sure what their route was, but it seems like it could be the same as the one I took. I don’t know when their next ride will be, but here is their site with the June 8 article: http://www.arlingtonhistory.org/2013/jun-8-arlington-history-bike-tour/
