It’s Sunday, so another 3 Boros Ride (Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn). After crossing back over the East River via the Manhattan Bridge, I rode through the Bowery from Delancy St up through Midtown to Central Park. On the video you can see lots of boarded up store fronts.

once I got to Cental Park South (60th St) I head back down Fifth Ave and then up Madison and Park Ave. This is the high rent district and a much higher percentage of boarded storefronts.

River surged ~2′ over the last few days and has already dropped back about 3/4′.

That came out pretty good. I can never get them to show up in pictures or video.

There’s a few great firefly spots in Virginia. The W&OD north of Columbia Pime is awesome at night. The Mount Vernon Trail just south of Daingerfield Island is also amazing.

If you’re into bats, check out the Mount Vernon Trail where it splits just north of Old Town. You’ll see hundreds of bats at dusk.

Thanks for the tips on locations Judd. I’m also open to suggestions for good places up here closer to College Park.

So if anyone is curious, this is 37 of 25MB pictures stacked in Photoshop. My laptop crashed 3x trying to make it until I figured out a few things

This morning I read some articles how to do it more easily, and with better settings. Last night I was just guessing in the pitch black; I don’t like how this one came out blurry-ish. I’ll post future attempts if good enough.
