Every time I pass by that house, I can not help but giggle. It is so out of place it is ridiculous. (Though, that is not the only reason it is ridiculous…)

I think what clinches the banality of Thundercat Manor for me is how it just sort of stands alone on a few acres of grass devoid of any real landscaping.

Believe it or not, there are actually children that live there (or at least visit frequently on the weekends). Several times I have passed by there and there have been a couple of younger kids (maybe 5-10) in the yard.

But yeah, the fact that it sits alone in a big grassy field with not an iota of landscaping is just… funny? sad? creepy?

I was going to say “quintessentially American” — though perhaps our lawns and our need for lots of land are not our finest qualities.
