Agreed! This is “The Enthusigator” and a snapper he saw on the CCT last week after we had ridden together! I think he nicknamed him Bitey.

For those who always complain there’s never anyone in my photos, it’s Ukraine Bike Day so a few of us in Kyiv decided WSGFABR!

Shots from riding on Memorial Day with the Embassy group and members of Team Novo Nordisk

Group shot at the halfway point near Yanukovych’s former private hunting preserve

The Team Novo Nordisk rider wanted Oleg to take his picture with his “brother.” My reply was more like his “father.”

My standard comment on the Continental Touring Plus’s I run is, “They’ll stand up to everything short of… that guy!”

Getting used to my new daily commute in my newly adopted home of Bristol UK, where I seem to daily make a wrong turn or forget which side of the road has the right of way. Along the way, I found this curious contraption that I believe the natives use to store potatoes during the wet winter season.

Think of the money the recumbent riders could save by shopping at yard sales rather than ‘bent dealers.

The first recumbent built by Bill Cook, the guy who founded Barcroft Cycles, had a plastic school cafeteria chair as the source for its seat. Bill’s was probably a bit more comfortable and lighter than this one.

Sort of along the lines of Oh Steve’s useless bollards, the riverside promenade from Podil up to the Moscov’skyi bridge has the highway light poles, outdoor advertising billboards, and cutouts for stairs down to the river obstructing part of the SUP. There are two especially egregious examples where I have on about 2 cm of clearance for the handlebars of the Pugsley.

I hope that’s not for the handle bars …. If the light pole came down it would block all three lanes of the Naberezhno-Rybalska Highway, so that could work. Timber! :D

Today I rode in my first ever “The World Naked Bike Ride” in my newly adopted city of Bristol UK.

#WNBR is an annual international clothing-optional bike ride in which participants ride together to peacefully protest issues including body image, cyclists safety and alternative lifestyles.

70 Cities across the world host WNBR events, including 10 in the US (Boston, NYC, Chicago, Houston, New Orleans, Las Vegas, LA & San Francisco) so this may not be news to some of you. http://www.worldnakedbikeride.org/

The following pics contain bicycles with nudity and may not be suitable for all viewers.

Can you spot the blue devil from the full moon? Or the ride leader watching out for motor vehicles?

Phew! I’ve got the Queen naked Bicycle Race poster up on my wall, but still, I think if you’re going to sit on a bike seat, you at least need some thin undies on or something. To protect both the seat and your uglies.
