The high winds brought a few trees down at Fairland Regional. Excellent conditions otherwise, though

Verrrrry interesting… any idea where along the trail I can find it? I was there on Monday and don’t recall seeing it. I did everything except the Silverwood trail, aka, the extension that goes into the neighborhood. (Map.)

I’d love to check it out and see if it was possible to get over :D

Things have dried out a bit after six days of no rain, but there were still water hazards. In places on Trukhaniv trails appeared to have been tilled, maybe to discourage drivers? Also, in several areas it appeared that there had been some trash cleanup, probably in conjunction with Earth Day. Unfortunately there are still lots and lots of trash, broken glass, and illegal dump sites.

First photo is a kids baseball game. The fourth photo is an updated shot of a new bridge. Since last Sunday the approaches on either side have had fresh gravel added so you can now ride across.

On the map it almost looks like you can ride across this stretch of water, nope way too deep

No, not in Ukraine. I was on a bike for the first time in the town where I was born (Columbus, OH).

Then the Olentangy Trail (up the river of the same name)

The map had three color coded comfort levels for routes

back through downtown in the Brewery District, note the bike route number and the bike share station. I didn’t ride any bike lanes, but found lots of sharrows.

Family ride to soccer game #1, then 45 minutes to kill before game #2, so we went to the farmers market.

Thanks for the pictures. I was in Columbus about 10 years ago and was impressed with the efforts the city had taken to create a nice river walk type of environment.

I had to wait a bit on this one as final approval of the Purple Line didn’t happen until this April, but I was glad to add a 7th line to my list of biking the metro videos.

I did the most research for this ride than any of the other Metro lines, mostly due to the fact that little has been built so far. I tried to take pictures at the exact or close to exact locations of the future stations. Still, it was fun, and I look forward to biking the route again when everything has been built (same for Phase 2 of the Silver Line).

P.S. – I made a playlist should anyone want to watch the other Bike the Metro videos (warning, I did not learn about video stabilization until late last year, so some of the other videos are a bit shaky): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIwZLzKYvhjrSde0rVkDEJb-xpUV-jSxH
