ParticipantGood evening to everybody
Here is another video from me. This video is filmed in Lenzerheid (Switzerland).
I can recommend this area! Beautiful landscape and biking on 3000 meters above sea.December 3, 2015 at 10:28 pm #1042237bikeeveryday

OK, I wasn’t actually on a ride. This is probably the WORST place to try and go in Tysons on a bike: Capital One World HQ.

ParticipantLast night the Blokes-Broads-Bikes-and-Brews club went on the “DC Hi-Lite” ride hosted by Sarah [emoji219] to see local landmarks by nightlight. We picked up a ninja (Chris) along the way, and released him at his Catholic University dorm, outfitted with front and rear blinky lights. Here are some picks from our ride:
Sarah [emoji219] and Luis feeling the balmy and windy 37 degrees at the Washington Monument starting point
Next stop was the Jefferson Memorial, which was deserted
It was too dark to do a group selfie at the Lincoln Memorial, but we did get the Washington Monument a la dark distancia…

ParticipantNext stop was the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception at Catholic University, where we released Chris from his ninja ways…
Onto the giant wreaths at Union Station..
And the not-so-giant wreaths at the Botanical Garden…
The US Capitol Building Xmas Tree..
We then rode over to the Navy Yards and ended the evening at BlueJacket with food and brews, as befitting our name!

Ha! It’s a trick question, since wormholes can appear anywhere!

ParticipantIt’s not Cheyenne Mountain and Stargate Command. Incorrect.
It’s actually in the DC area. I think this was just installed, maybe today or yesterday.

ParticipantCrystal Drive in Crystal City. The LED lights flash in a pattern from the edge of the bowl to the center. There’s also a new speaker system that was playing music along with the light display. It’s in the courtyard across from Chick-fil-A.
Some may find it too glitzy and flashy but I don’t mind it. It’s not as though Crystal City is a historic district. I think the light structure adds some visual interest to Crystal Drive, something to break up the series of office buildings.

ParticipantOn my last commute home of 2015, I couldn’t help but shake my head at the following sights:

at the Intersection of Doom, someone decided to take an off-road route and knock the sign askew
the shopping cart/bike rack at the Bradlee Safeway in Alexandria; I moved the 3 shopping carts back to their rightful spot but was slightly amused at the laziness of the drivers who left the carts there -
