Hopefully Dog will begin to understand that dog park fun awaits the end of the trip.
My dog was apprehensive about the trailer at first, but then figured out that something AWESOME always happened when he got in. He was ancient and pretty dang mellow at the time though, may he rest in peace.
My dog is the opposite of mellow…and he’s a huge chicken, so just the trailer moving when he stepped on it freaked him out. So we made sure to ride straight to the park, despite the rain, rather than just riding around the block or something. My goal is to take him on an overnight ride to Harper’s Ferry on the C&O, toward the end of the summer, so we’ll need to make a lot of park runs between now and then!
As Abritrator of ELITE, maybe you can give us some guidance on “dislikes” appropriate use? Maybe just as a way to show support for an injured colleague? Maybe renaming?
I agree with the injured colleague thing. It can get tricky — just now I both liked a post (pics of lots of cool riders) and disliked it (pic of injured colleague).
Can we get a new button that says “My feelings here are too nuanced for a button but not nuanced enough for a meaningful post, so I just want to show support for my colleague/s”?

That might take those icons into a second line, oh the code! 😮

Maybe a pair of circled arms for “group hug/affirmation”?

I’m thinking that hitting the “Like” and “Dislike” button for the same post might say exactly what you’re feeling.
That’s where the Elite button comes in. You can add some “Unlike” and “Undislike” buttons in for follow-up…

I won’t be satisfied until there are three or four rows of buttons to cover every conceivable thought I might want to convey. We can communicate purely through the buttons.
