Just like that, cut down all the trees, add a little rain and the wetlands will form.
I am not an expert in this issue but I think there may be some significant differences between wet lands (as shown) and wetlands.

Yeah, they still need to add some crocodiles

Well, just a few more steps, lower the riverbank and add some plants.

Boomer,
Can you show us a pic of it folded up? This bike retails for only about $350. Does it feel like a relatively well designed bike? I’m asking because I’ve been thinking about buying a foldie for when I travel on vacation but can’t justify a Brompton for 1-2 trips a year.
I’m super glad you have found a way to get around and have fun at the same time. Being incapacitated really sucks.
Thanks.
Here’s a pic of the Foldie completely broken down, napping, after a beer:
This is how we roll on MetroRail. I leave the handlebars up, and can roll it like a stroller, without having to pick it up (unless the Metro escalators or elevators are out of service) :

It is a very well designed bike. The more I use it, the more I appreciate how good the design is. I believe that the owner snagged it on sale, online, for about $250.

I’m noting that this thread has gotten off topic and should be moved somewhere else. I like coming here to see vvill’s and greenbelt’s and Boomer’s and Potomaccyclist’s and Bobco’s and others’ photos from their rides.
Great discussion no doubt, but how about starting a new thread or moving over to the Bikes & Equipment section? Are you going to yell at us to get off of your lawn too?

ParticipantThis past Sunday, I took my sister (from NYC) on a bike ride through McLean and Tysons to Wolf Trap and back along the W&OD for her birthday. Because she didn’t bring her hybrid bike (Fuji Absolute 3.0, I think) even though her car rental was a massive Jeep something (it could fit like a small house in it), I made her ride my commuter bike (Zum City Bike) which is heavier and has a rear rack, rear folding baskets, and fenders while I rode my road bike (Fuji Newest 3.0). Yes, I am a good little brother as I did enjoy hearing the Manhattan (i.e., no real hills whatsoever) resident complain at all the hills we had to climb
Note: the real reason I made her ride the heavier bike was that my road bike has clip-in pedals which she was not used to.
The ride was only around 26 miles (with hills; here’s the route: https://www.strava.com/activities/330133983), but I did notice something that I think would be useful information for anyone considering going to Wolf Trap:
If you bring your bike on the metro, Wolf Trap is about a 20 minute (2.6 mile) bike ride from the Spring Hill station on the Silver line that takes you through quiet neighborhoods.
proof of our arrival at Wolf Trap

I’m sure that I stripped the thread pre-ride while (re)installing and tightening the cleat. I had been using those shoes for both casual wear and cycling so I would constantly switch between the rubber sole “plate” and the cleats. Looks like it’s time for me to chose one form of use of the other…
Yep. n+1 also applies to bike shoes. And wheelsets.
