In honor of the return of Mulder and Scully to TV next year. A new mini-season of “The X-Files” is set to begin airing on Sunday, January 24, 2016. The 2nd episode airs on Monday, Jan. 25, with the remaining four episodes also airing on Mondays.
I learned many things from the show, such as the cover-up of gray aliens by the FBI, the fact that Fox Mulder lives in Alexandria and that the Federal Statistics Center in Crystal City secretly houses a room where the government compiled all data from the US Census. The database in that room contained the names of people with a certain genetic profile and who had been tracked by the federal government, using the US Census. Mulder believed that the database constituted proof that the people whose names were included had been targeted, due to their genetic profiles, for abduction and replacement by alien facsimiles. Proof positive of the government conspiracy! And much of it is taking place in Arlington and Northern Virginia!
Crystal City was also the location of a software company’s headquarters, Eurisko, which was overrun by a malevolent intelligent and self-aware software program that started killing off people who threatened its existence. Important stuff.
