That was the segment I had to walk. I tried, and at some point I could no longer make the pedals go forward any more.
Shoulda turned around and pedaled up backwards. That’s one of the advantages of those fixie thingies, right?
Good thing the hill wasn’t twice as long.April 19, 2015 at 1:35 am #1028375rcannon100

Took a little family ride to the Ithaca Farmers Market. It takes a long time to ride a mile with two kids in tow on their own bikes, but it’s worth it.

It can be tough to get everyone in the moving selfie though.

Looks like poor Jeremy’s been in a fight… perhaps with his bicycle! What happened?
Congrats on the award. Second place is very fitting for a Bipolar Bear. :+)April 20, 2015 at 12:41 am #1028387Greenbelt

ParticipantAll right, I thought this afternoon was going to be full of thunderstorms, so I spent my time finishing my video of the cherry blossoms this year.
I went to the Tidal Basin 3 separate times for pics and vids this time. I went on the 4th to see the fireworks from East Potomac Park, the 11th where I saw the Joint Service Drill Exhibition at the Jefferson Memorial (I stumbled across this by accident and decided to watch), and on the 13th where I gathered the rest of my footage. Everything is being shown out of order so I could transition from day to night and finish with the fireworks (chronological order my foot!). Enjoy!

P.S. – I will repeat this to my grave: biking to the Tidal Basin is the BEST way to see the cherry blossoms

The Memorial, viewed from Columbia Pike. This is also the site of the former Navy Annex building, once named the ugliest federal office building in the DC area.

I came across that video a couple years ago. I don’t remember how. As a history major, I find it interesting to see older footage of all the familiar sites and locations.
