The trails may have cleared up but the Potomac River and the Tidal Basin were still frozen over this morning.

A few hours later and all the ice is gone from the Potomac River. At least the area next to the 14th St. Bridge.

The inevitable flat tire on tonight’s ride. Interestingly, the person who stopped first to help me was a runner, as the cyclists all whizzed by, except for the one who gave me a shot from his CO2 cartridge.

Despite the moderate temperatures this week, the Tidal Basin still manages to find a way to stay (mostly) frozen. The geese are still hanging out on the ice too. They really do like it there.
