Now that the Metro lines are done, I need a new goal for 2015 for places to visit in multiple trips. I’ve done the boundary stones twice and plan to bike the Beltway (initial route looks to be 110 miles). Any ideas?
According to their website, NoVa has ten locations.
Along those lines, a college/university tour might be a thought.
Or you could kill two puppies with one stone by visiting brewpubs and earning your beerneuring points.

Participant@CaseyKane50, Steve O, and (person who I know had posted something but it for some reason is not there anymore)
Thanks for the ideas!
The CaBi one looks like it would only be fair if I took a CaBi for it (luckily, I do have a membership), but I will have to do at least the Arlington stations (I’ve already been to quite a few of them for various things including bike ‘n’ hikes where I bike from one station to another, then hike home).
The NoVa tour looks like a good challenge! Maybe if I can visit them all in a day, I can get them to give me a special degree (Bachelor of Two Circular Wheel Transportation)
Someone had written something about visiting all the historic landmarks, and that sounds like it would be fun to do. I’ll check it out.
Lastly, I had a random idea yesterday for a ride that everyone can do. I call it the spiral ride. What you do is starting from your home, make a spiral using the streets around you without overlapping any block/intersection (sidewalks/trails can be used separately from the roadway if you’re in a pinch). It’s a fun challenge, although it can get harder if you’re near a river. Here’s the one I came up with (50-mile ride that doesn’t stray more than 2.1 miles from the start):

Can’t read the numbers, though. So why not a selfie, Steve? I asked myself.

And then you can spiral in the other direction.

Bob’s practically standing in my front yard to take this pic…had I not been sleeping soundly in my warm bed, I’d have run ’em out of the neighborhood.
