I’m fine. I didn’t even get shaky like after other close calls. It wasn’t scary. He only sped me along my way. I can straighten my SMV sign and I have another bracket for the flag. I do wish I had my head together enough to give the police a report. If I had IDed the truck, I would have asked the bus driver for her info as a witness. I would have asked the the bus driver if she could ID my assailant when I caught up with her at the light but she had moved to the left lane making it tough for me to get to the driver side of the bus. I just kept going…
My son drafting my wife on a family ride, how does one convice a teen that spandex is cool?
We need a family team kit.
Mission accomplished, he got MTB shorts (REI has youth sizes). I envy his jersey. He also went clipless for the first time today, only fell twice unclipping on the wrong side.

Whoa, so both the assailant and the witness drove off without even trying to speak with you to see if you are ok?! (shakes head) Wow. So glad to hear you are all right and that damage was minimal. I think you need something more intimidating at the back of your trailer to scare ’em off. How about a great big “radioactive” sign?
Not only did Honeybadger6 do the 82 mile round trip to Purcellville, she did it on a hybrid and with energy to spare. Next weekend’s century should be no problemo.
I was intending to join the Baltimore M2M en route and ride home from the finish alone as I have done the last two years. I headed north along the route turned around when I saw Isaias O’Daniell and Maxine at Old Baltimore Pike and Edmonston. They had a jump on those who started in Baltimore. When he told me he rode 150 yesterday and was going to ride 75 today, I considered turning around to find a bigger faster group further north and get some more miles. Then I saw what looked like Justin Antos leading a bunch of riders. I reversed direction again and joined their ride uninvited.
