I haven’t been looking that closely. Suffice it that there are a huge number of delivery bikes around here some of them quite odd. I lam not sure if this one actually is used to deliver kegs – it was locked up right in front of a microbrewery.

Looks like a SOMA Tradesman although that “Baker’s Bike” frame is only rated for up to 50 lbs by the manufacturer. A 1/2 barrel keg runs 140-160 lbs. according to Wikipedia. Maybe they should invest in a WorkCycles Fr8 instead, capable of up to 330 lbs.

Tom Palermo memorial ride pictures. With Rod Smith, Eric, and Chris (consularrider) and others. Tom was a master framebuilder who used to work at Proteus. He was run over from behind at high speed while riding in a bike lane on a residential street in Baltimore by a hit and run driver with a previous drunk driving conviction in Maryland. The driver eventually returned to the scene, but few other details about the killing have been released by Baltimore police.

Awesome turnout, and I’m so glad you all went! I made a 2014 WABA donation in Tom’s memory. He built a bike for an old friend of mine. I heard nothing but great things. Even aside from who he was, the circumstances were horrendous. I hope there would be a turnout like that if this had happened to any of us.
