The other day i saw two guys on uni cycles with tires as fat as his. They hit the trail fast. I was riding my fixie with my shepherd thinking i am a wussy.
The recent update to the Virb Edit software now gives you the option to fully customize the display for the garmin sensor data which is cool. The sync is pretty easy but gets thrown off when you do a lot of cuts like I did here. For a longer video where you can sync it up once and let it run it works well.
Pretty nice overlay there. But it looks like there isn’t space in the display for when you hit a 4-digit wattage number! Oh nevermind, it’s just left-justified (what?).
From this morning’s Friday Coffee Club earlyish rollout. While I love the fresh air feeling of cold weather, it seems much too soon!
Mostly solo casual ride on Tuesday, after the Veterans Day coffee social. Actually really enjoyed the fixed gear for the long ride. Only bad thing was losing my main water bottle cap really early on, so I had to refill water a lot.
From the new Virb camera recorded using the 720p “Economy” setting.

This definitely goes in the covet thread. Although I’d need the camera, the Garmin, the heart rate monitor, whatever is measuring your cadence, and my wife not to notice all the unnecessary toys…
I finished my video of biking the Blue line. It’s video #4 of my series for biking the DC Metro.
Biking around MD, DC, and VA was tough on 11/2 because it was cold and windy (you can see whitecaps in the Potomac River in the video). I made it, although I was pretty tired afterwards!
Here’s the video:

I biked the Green line this past Saturday, so I need to make a video for that. All that remains now is the Silver line extension. I plan on biking to all of the Phase I and Phase II stations, even if the latter are still under construction, sometime in early December.
